Our Story

Food Carries Memories.

Cookinpot started with a copper pot, a handful of family recipes, and the stubborn belief that food tastes better when nobody is in a hurry. We slow-cook the curries. We grind the spices. We let the biryani rest before it ever reaches the table.

Our roots are Indian — the tandoor, the long braises, the cardamom and the curry leaf. But Macon has a way of opening a kitchen up. Mediterranean warmth crept in through the grill and the mezze board, all bright herbs and charred edges made for sharing. Indo-Chinese arrived the way it always does, out of curiosity: a wok, a chilli glaze, and someone asking what would happen if we tried it.

What holds it together is not a single cuisine. It is the way we cook — flavor first, patience where patience is needed, and generous portions meant to be passed around rather than guarded. Come hungry. Leave with a story.

From Our Kitchen

Crafted With Care.
Served With Soul.

Every plate is finished the moment it is called — the tandoor at temperature, the wok still moving, the garnish cut to order. Nothing sits under a lamp waiting for a table.
